The Commandment Has Been Sent Out

I was praying this morning about a certain situation that seems like no matter how much I pray, it never changes. Feeling a little down about it I set in my heart to continue to trust God and hope that He will intervene. While reading my Bible I was writing down different thoughts I had regarding certain verses. In Daniel chapter 9:23, the meaning really resonated with me and while I was writing it down I knew it was the answer for me as well as a guide to hopefully you all too. So with that being said I will begin, verse 23 says, ” At the beginning of thy supplications the commandment came forth, and I am come to shew thee; for thou art greatly beloved: therefore understand the matter, and consider the vision.” Daniel had been praying in this chapter and really pouring his heart out. I wonder if while he was praying, he wondered if the answer was ever going to come. He knew what the prophecy of Jeremiah had said and he wanted to know when the captivity was going to be over. Just like us, we know what the Bible says regarding our prayers. He said He would heal our sick, supply all our needs, He said if we ask anything according to His will we will receive. So why does it seem so long sometimes that we must wait. God dropped in my heart that the answer is already on the way. When we pray from the start with sincerity, He already dispatches the answer. He let me know that yes you have prayed and prayed, and yet you have seen no relief, but look up He has already sent out the commandment, the answer is on the way. All we must do is wait patiently and continue to pray and trust Him. Nothing good will He deny His children. Often times we may get down or even depressed about something after praying when what we should do is believe that He heard us, believe that He will intervene, believe and have faith. That is what He ultimately wants from us. So when you pray, pray boldly and respectfully,  pray expecting that what you’re praying for will reach Him and when it does, He has already commanded the answer to be on it’s way. So fear not, for He is with you and me. He will do what He said, He never breaks His word. The commandment has already been sent out and He’s got everything under control. He is already moving in your situation even though we cannot see it or feel it. Be patient and continue to pray and keep the faith. Run the race that is before you.

Only You!

Does everybody know or remember Smokey the Bear? Here in the United States, he is the spokesman for forest fires. His slogan goes like this, ” Only YOU can prevent forest fires.” How true it is. Well on a different subject entirely, I remember the first time I read the Bible through. I came across scripture that really spoke to me and I want to share it with all of you. In this scripture the children of Israel are going to build the Temple of the Lord. Exodus chapter 35:35 says, ” Them hath He filled with the wisdom of heart, to work all manner of work, of the engraver, and of the cunning workman, and of the the embroiderer, in blue, and in purple, in scarlet, and in fine linen, and of the weaver, even of them that do any work, and of those that devise cunning work.” Now chapter 36:2. ” And Moses called Bezaleel and Aholiab, and ever wise hearted man, in whose heart the Lord had put wisdom, even every one whose heart stirred him up to come unto the work to do it:” When I read this for the first time, it dawned on me that God has given each of us talents in our hearts. The know-how, if you will, to do different things. Who would have thought that engraving would have been a talent but it was, and it was used to build the temple. We are God’s people and we all have different talents. All of our talents are used to help build the kingdom of God. You should never think that your work is not important or special because each and every one is unique and is a job that ONLY YOU CAN DO. You may say, well if I don’t do it someone else will, and that may be true, BUT the other person would not be able to reach who you are able to reach. We are made to glorify the Lord, that is our job. If you do not know what God wants you to do, pray and ask Him, He will absolutely show you. I know He will. So look inside yourself and pray and remember, ONLY YOU CAN DO WHAT GOD HAS CALLED YOU TO DO.

He Knows Your Name.

I want to write today about how our God is a personal God. I was thinking of people that are in authority and how you must go through channels if you wish to reach them and even then you probably won’t. Praise God, we don’t have to go through channels. The Holy Spirit helps us pray and we have a direct connection to God. People in authority are busy and may feel that they cannot handle all the demands that people may have so unless it is crucial they will not intervene. I was reading in Daniel this morning chapter 8 and Daniel had had a vision and he did not know the meaning. This verse popped out to me, 16 ” And I heard a man’s voice between the banks of Ulai, which called, and said, Gabriel, make this man to understand the vision.” I don’t know if you have read Daniel but he had very intense visions of the future and if you haven’t I encourage you to do so. Well anyway he had this disturbing dream but God didn’t leave it at that. He will never cause us to worry. He told Gabriel to show him what it meant. I thought that was so precious. He said Gabriel, show this man the meaning. God never wants us to be in the dark. He is a personal God that cares about our feelings, He cares about our worries. He wanted Daniel to know what the vision meant and in turn, we know what the vision meant. God has given us His inspired Word to guide us and help us. Another one of His great and compassionate ways, all we must do is read His Word. You see God will never put more on you that you can bear. He gave Daniel the dream but He also gave him the meaning. Another verse comes to mind in Amos, chapter 7:8, that shows that God is a personal God, ” And the Lord said unto me, Amos, what seest thou?” If you notice here He called Amos by name. I think that is so significant. He could have just asked him, but He didn’t, He called him by name. How about the time when Jesus had rose from the dead and Mary was looking for Him and ever so gently and compassionate He said, ” Mary,”. When someone calls you by name, it gives you a since that they are wanting to make sure that you know they are talking to you. I know a man that whenever he speaks to me, all through the conversation, he says my name. It holds my attention but it also makes me feel that he really does want to speak to me and that he cares about what I have to say. Can’t you see this is what God does to us. He calls us by name, He doesn’t just say, hey you. But when He speaks to you, can’t you feel it in a real way? He will let you know that He knows YOU. Our God is high and lifted up but He is not so high that He doesn’t care about our daily lives. He is so magnificent that we cannot even wrap our minds around how wonderful He is. I don’t know if there are any words to describe how truly amazing He is. But He is not too busy to lean down and lend His ear when we pray. He not only hears you but he hears me and all of the millions of His children. Only our God does this. He is so unselfish. You may say well how can He be selfish He has heavenly things and we need physical things? How about when He allowed His ONLY heavenly Son to take on flesh and be His earthly Son and allowed Him to die for US. That is the greatest example of selflessness and love that there could ever be.  I want to put a little emphasis on the fact that God will not burden you without giving you the answer. Someone told me once that, “Where God gives vision, He also gives provision.” This is so important to keep in mind. Beware of wolves in sheep clothing that try to confuse you. God is not a God of confusion, EVER. If there is something He wants you to do, He will let you know. Remember even after He gave Daniel the vision, He told Gabriel to tell him the meaning. Our God is a personal God and He deeply cares for you and your daily trials and He is never too busy for you! He knows your name and He is calling you.

Our Blunders, His Wonders!

So sorry it has been so long since I have written. Each time I sat down to write, something would come up and I would not be able to. I have been thinking of a subject though, I thought about it while reading the Bible last week. Have you ever got yourself into a sticky situation? Have you ever wondered how are you going to get out of it, or better yet, why in the world did I do that? Well there was a king in the Bible who got in the “flesh” sort of speak. Darius, who I believe was a good king, was tricked, in a way, by men of power who were jealous of Daniel. Daniel had an excellent spirit in him and he was favored by Darius. So Darius signed a decree saying that nobody can ask of any God or man for thirty days except of the king. If they did they would be cast into the lion’s den. Daniel knew that this was the new decree but he did not let that stop him from praying to his God. I guess he was kind of like Paul when Paul said, to live is Christ and to die is gain. Daniel had peace because he was in the will of God. So anyway when Darius found out he was very troubled, he knew he had made a terrible mistake. Daniel 6:14,16,18 says, “Then the king, when he heard these words, was sore displeased with himself, and set his heart on Daniel to deliver him; and he laboured till the going down of the sun to deliver him.” You see he had got himself in a world of trouble. Well actually because of his actions an innocent man was to be killed. Darius, not unlike us,made a decision without consulting God. He trusted in the words of man instead of God. Don’t you love how the Bible has recorded every detail so we can learn from other people’s mistakes. He was laboring in the flesh, trying to think of a way to deliver Daniel. In verse 16 it says, ” Then the king commanded, and they brought Daniel, and cast him into the den of lions. Now the king spake and said unto Daniel, Thy God whom thou servest continually, He will deliver thee.” Now at this point Darius realizes that it is God and God alone who our help comes from. He knew that there was nothing he could do. He realized that as much as he labored there was no earthly thing that could be done. We have to get to that point as well. We must recognize that our labors are in vain. Often times there are things that are out of our hands, sometimes we have made bad decision and other times it can be due to someone else, but we must realize that only God can change the situation, only God can deliver the answer. Now in verse 18 it says, ” Then the king went to his palace, and passed the night fasting: neither were instruments of musick brought before him: and his slept went from him.” I can only imagine the turmoil that he was facing. Peter said that, this kind of faith only comes from prayer and fasting. Darius put the work in. He knew he had made a major mistake but instead of sitting around and accepting it, he reached heaven! He prayed until he had the assurance that Daniel was gonna be fine! When there is something you are praying about, do not quit until you get the answer. Keep praying until you know the problem has been resolved. It may not be the answer you want, but I guarantee you will leave with peace. The next morning, Darius arose early and with haste he went to the den! And after asking Daniel, did your God deliver you the answer came from the den from Daniel, ” Oh king, live forever!!”  There must have been some shouting going on! When God gets a hold of you, you can’t help but praise Him. So remember that if you are in a place that’s not where you want to be, perhaps like I said, you have made bad choices, realize that only God can answer your longing heart. Only He can satisfy your soul. Pray until you reach heaven and again, you may not get the answer you were hoping for, but you will have the peace that passeth all understanding. Through our blunders we can see all of His wonderful wonders! Please leave comments about your testimonies! I would love to here from you. You must be registered in order to comment. Thank you and may God bless you.[paypal_donation_button align=”center”]

Who Can Question The King?

I want to go today to Ecclesiastes 8:4, ” Where the word of a king is, there is power: and who may say unto him,What doest thou?” (KJV) If a king gives an order, it will be followed. Why are we so reluctant sometimes to accept what the King says to us. The Bible is full of stories where people have questioned the King. Perhaps the most famous or infamous one is the story of Adam and Eve. They were told not to eat of the tree of knowledge of good and evil, but then the serpent ( the devil) came and cast the doubts that led to them questioning The King and in turn they do what, they sin. In our human nature we often question all things but we should never question the King. Perhaps one of the greatest things that Christ said to us was, ” For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16 Now right here the King is not commanding that we should be saved but instead He is encouraging us to be saved. The King is giving you and me a promise. And where the King speaks, who can question why He does what He does. He said He will save you and give you eternal life! That is a promise. Because He said it, it is true. The devil may tell you that you are not worthy, or you cannot be saved because you have done too much wrong, but the King has spoken. He says if you believe on Him, you will be saved. We will thereby be worthy through Christ. When God the Father looks at us, He doesn’t see a sinner but He sees the precious blood of Jesus. People we are coming up on Christmas day. The King sent His son to be born, to live, to die and to rise again. The King has spoken it so let it be done! He said that you can live and not die, he says that Jesus will return, and it will happen! When you read His Word you are not just reading empty words, you are reading His Words, the Holy Spirit inspired Word. The Kings words. You know it says in the Bible that the Bible can stand up against questions, reproof, and teachings, ( I know I’m paraphrasing) but His Word stand up against the test of time. No other book can do that. No other words can fill your soul. His words can because He is the KING and WHO can QUESTION the KING! This Christmas don’t just celebrate gifts and family but celebrate that the KING has given you eternal life, the KING has spoken it!! You can live! That is His gift to you, the gift of eternal life! Amen and so be it!!

If you have not accepted His gift, you are missing out on all He has. Like my preacher says, when you get saved it’s not just a, “get out of hell free card”, it’s all the benefits of having an Omnipotent Father, A Father that has every single hair on your head numbered. A King that not only made the stars but gave them names and yet He is not too busy to care for you and number the hairs on your head. I ask that if you have not accepted His gift, listen to what the King is saying and allow Him to save you and give you eternal life. Who can question the King? He says you can live and He loves you, that’s it in a nutshell.

I know I have mentioned this before but if you want good quality Christian music you should tune in! Now until January 1st they are playing quality Christmas music.

Prayer Request

I ran into a young lady today who is 9 weeks pregnant. She is nervous because she had her first baby early at 20 weeks and the little thing only lived a day here on earth. So I ask that you remember Cristina in your prayers that she will carry this any full term. Thank you.
