How Marvelous He Is!

My preacher said yesterday that atheist have no song. Isn’t that so true? They cannot sing of the salvation, healing, forgiveness, grace, mercy and compassion that we can. Whenever I try to write the qualities of our Lord, I feel so inadequate. There are no words that can fully encompass Him. His love is overwhelming, His mercy is unmerited, His grace is amazing, His power is endless, His forgiveness is abounding, His thoughts are marvelous, His patience endures forever, and His kingdom is from everlasting to everlasting!! Who can compare with Him.- Yesterday we celebrated his victorious Resurrection! All day I was moved in my spirit and baffled and taken back at how the Son of God came and died for us and then He arose, to bring us eternal life. In writing that I know it lacks what my heart wishes I could convey. There is a verse in Luke chapter 24:32 that I absolutely love, ” And they said one to another, Did not our heart burn within us, while He talked with us by the way, and while He opened to us the scripture?” I love this! Does your heart burn for Him? Does it long for Him while you are reading His Word and while He reveals to you all the mysteries that the Bible holds? Keep in your hearts and minds the miraculous Resurrection, not just a few days after Easter, but all through the year.

Good Friday

Today is Good Friday. This is a holiday exclusively for Christians. No other religion can claim it. We celebrate Christmas, this is true, but if Jesus had not of died for us and then rose again from the dead, He would just have been a miracle at His birth and nothing more. He was born with an earthly body, proved Himself to all mankind by His actions, performed miracles that fulfilled the scriptures, and He died and He arose from the dead, full of life! Thank God in heaven that He chose to die for us. He defeated death, hell, and the grave when He arose from the dead. When He came back, He defeated the very last thing that had a hold on mankind. We are no longer bound by the curse that had affected us all. I have often heard people say, ” Forgive them for they know not what they do.” They say this trying to be funny but there is nothing funny about that sentence at all. Here was Christ hanging on a cross, severely beaten about to die, and He still in His perfect and compassionate way says, ” Then said Jesus, Father forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted His raiment, and cast lots.” Luke 23:34 Let us never ever take those words or anything in the Bible for granted. Those words are precious and sacred. Today keep the fact that it is Good Friday in your hearts and minds. Today is the day that changed your life. Without Christ dying for us, we would all be doomed but through the great sacrifice and unmerited favor, we have life eternal. Today is a day for rejoicing, that through His suffering, we are spared condemnation. Go and spread the word, that Christ died BUT HE IS RISEN!!! Today is our(Christians) holiday let us rejoice and praise His Holy name!!

Jesus Said, I Will

Luke chapter 1:40-41 says, ” And there came a leper to Him, beseeching Him, and kneeling down to Him, and saying unto Him, If thou wilt, thou canst make me clean. (41) And Jesus, moved with compassion, put forth His hand, and touched him, I will; be thou clean.” We see here that the scripture tells us, He was moved with compassion. Tomorrow is Good Friday, it is Good Friday because this is the day that Jesus, moved with compassion, died for our sins. We are like the leper in this story. As you know, when someone had leprosy they were not allowed to live in the city, they were basically cut off from others. Our sins, like leprosy, had control over us, keeping us from the life that God had intended for us to live. We read that Jesus put His hand on him and then He told him that He would heal him. This shows us that He wanted to show His love and compassion before He healed this man. I can only imagine the look of love that was in His eyes. He not only saw the condition of the man’s body but He saw the condition of the man’s soul. When He looked at us, He looked through our earthly condition and saw the condition of our souls. Our souls were covered with wounds of sin, and then Jesus touched us, and He said, I will heal you. He then forgave us of our sins and turned us white as snow. He healed us and spared us from eternal death. Jesus was not scared to touch this man, and He is not scared to touch you. There are no problems/sins that are too big for our Lord. When we ask for forgiveness, He is moved with compassion, He will put forth His nail scarred hand, and touch you, and say I will forgive you.

My prayer for you all today is that, you will know how much our Lord loves you. I pray that you will feel His compassion and love, and spread His compassion and love to others. I pray that you will have a blessed Easter weekend, keeping Jesus in the forefront of your minds and never forgetting how marvelous He is. Never forgetting what He did for this world and for you. Amen

If you are reading this and you do not know this wonderful Man, I pray that today, right now, you will ask Him to forgive you of your sins, ask Him to come into your heart, believing that He is in fact who He says He is. Believing that He died for all and that He rose again on the third day. Believing that He will, one day return to take all of His children to heaven. Remember Jesus is love,He is forgiveness, He is hope, He is life eternal and He is also judgement. I pray that you will come to Him today. Amen

Is there any other name as sweet as the name of Jesus? If you just sit and think about what all that name holds, it is very overwhelming. The peace it brings, the hope, the love, the forgiveness, the salvation, and so much more. There is more to the name than words can ever describe. There is a reason why, Luke chapter 1:78,79 says it all. ” Through the tender mercy of our God; whereby the DAYSPRING from on high hath visited us.” (79) To give light to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace.” The most Holy One came down and visited us. I love the part that says, “To give light to them that sit in darkness.” To me when I read this part of the verse, there is a picture that springs to mind. I see a man slumped over, sitting in darkness. I notice the verse says “sit”, which tells me that mankind was hopeless. We were all in the shadow of death that loomed over us. When somebody is in despair they are not out walking around and having a good ole time but often they are sitting, just sitting, and perhaps in a dark room. Christ saw us as vulnerable prey, sitting in darkness, in the depths of despair and He, the blessed Christ, came to bring light to a dark and hopeless world. He came to shine His light, and to guide our feet into the way of peace. After we ask for His salvation, He just doesn’t leave us, but He guides us into the way of peace. Oh what a savior! Oh how concerned He is for us. These verses fill my heart with such a longing and appreciation for Him. Can you feel the hope that springs up when you realize that He cares for you? Can you feel how your heart overflows with gladness? No wonder that just the mention of His name, flowers grow and the desert blooms again. He causes springs of life to flow in us. He renews our strength with just the mention of His name….What a wonderful name, JESUS. He brings light to those who sit in darkness and in the shadow of death and He guides their feet into the way of peace.

My prayer for you all today, is that the joy of the Lord will fill your hearts to overflowing. I pray that you will meditate upon His name. I pray that you will allow Him to guide your feet throughout the day and the rest of your lives, reminding and renewing yourself daily. Amen.

Come To Jesus

Just wanted to give a quick call-out to those who may stumble upon this site and may not be saved. Jesus loves you and time is running short. Christianity is the only religion that teaches us to love our neighbors and those who mistreat us. Christ is love. He will also have judgement for us all. He is a just and righteous judge, slow to anger. I urge you today that if you do not know Him, please pray to Him now and search through the Bible for knowledge. He will not turn you away. Now is the time to come into the ark, today is the day of salvation.
