Little Foxes

Have you ever heard the expression, “If I give you an inch, you’ll take a mile.” Anybody that has children or been around children(or animals for that matter) knows that when given a little lead way, you want to go further and further. How many times have you set boundaries only to have those boundaries challenged, either by your children or your “furry children.” Well as Christians we have our on Spiritual boundaries. These boundaries are not set in place to inhibit us but rather to protect us. So many times little things will creep into our lives. Sometimes we are unaware at first at the severity of the impact these things can have on our lives or those around us. In Song of Solomon chapter 2 verse 15 it says, Take us the foxes, the little foxes, that spoil the vines: for our vines have tender grapes. (KJV) The vines have tender grapes. God sees us as His “tender grapes,” we are precious in His sight. In this verse it was the little foxes that would get in the vineyard and destroy it. They would probably creep in unnoticed and by morning they would have ruined a whole batch of those tender grapes. If only those who were tending the vineyards would have kept an eye out for them the damage could have been prevented. Then finally someone said, “Take us the foxes, the little foxes that spoil the vines.” I expect after they became aware of how serious it was they soon came up with a solution to eradicate the foxes. We as Christians must always be diligent not to allow little things into our lives. Be aware of the “little foxes”, keep a Spiritual eye open at all times. TV shows, or music, or books may seem harmless but if you feel something inside you that just doesn’t seem right, you should refuse to participate. Those little things that creep in that gently pull you away from Jesus will grow until you feel you can’t get back to Him. But praise God, He has the solution for our “little foxes,” when Jesus died on the cross and most importantly came back to life, that was the solution to eradicate those “foxes.” We can live a life victorious! Thank you!

Under Your Feet

Hello everyone. Last night my family was watching the show called the Flash. I’m sure most of you are probably familiar with that show. Anyway, I really wasn’t watching it but it was an episode where the Flash needed to run on water. So, in the show he asked one of his teammates, how fast do I need to run to run on water. When I heard that I was reminded of when Jesus WALKED on the water. He didn’t need any  exuberant speeds, he simply walked. In Matthew chapter 14 :24,25 says, (24)But the ship was now in the midst of the sea, tossed with waves: for the wind was contrary. (25) And in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went unto them, WALKING on the sea. I started to smile to myself when I thought about how AWESOME God really is. We are like the disciples in that we are faced with problems. They were not only faced with the problem of the troubling sea but Jesus was too. He was faced with their problem, He made their problem His problem. The only difference is, He had the problem under his feet, He was walking on it, He didn’t let it get Him down. We being humans a lot of the time we see our problems as momentous and fail to see any answer, if we give it to God, He will put it under his feet and thereby putting it under your feet too. Just like Peter in verse 28,asked to join Jesus on the water. He did but then he got scared and began to sink. Jesus of course grabbed him up. We don’t need to be afraid of our circumstances. Don’t allow your fears hide what God can do. He can put them under His feet and under yours, giving you such peace, strength and comfort that words could never truly describe the freedom and joy you will have. I pray that God will be with you all.

Remember to post your prayer request and praise reports.

Please pray for a complete healing for baby “J”. Neuroblastoma is a big word but not bigger than God. He can put that under His feet and baby “J’s” feet. Thank you and God Bless.

I have another prayer request,a man named Ron needs encouragement and strength and the faith to know that God loves him. Pray that God will reveal Himself to Ron in a real and fresh way. Life is worth the living just because Christ lives.  Thank you

Dry Bones

I think one of my favorite Bible stories is, the valley of dry bones. In Ezekiel chapter 37 starting with verse 1. God carries Ezekiel to a valley that was full of dry bones. Verse 3 says, And He said unto me, Son of man, can these bones live? And I answered ,O Lord God, thou knowest. So God told Ezekiel to prophesy to the dry bones that they may live, and he did. They still had no life, they had sinew and were standing upright but know breath. So God told him to prophesy to the wind and this is how he proceeded. Verse 9, Then said He unto me,Prophesy unto the wind, prophesy, son of man,and say to the wind, Thus saith the Lord God: Come from the four winds,O breath, and breathe upon these slain, that they MAY LIVE. That they may live. Perhaps you’ve got a valley of dry bones in your life. You feel that things may be hopeless. You may know God does exist but you are not sure if He could even care about the dry bones in your life. Well I am here to tell you that He does. He wants you to prophesy unto those bones that they may live. All things are possible through Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. He can and will breathe life into your dry bones. He can renew your spirit and give you a reason for living. Not only living but having life more abundantly. Can these dry bones live, absolutely, they can! Thank you.

Please pray for baby “J”, he is fighting neuroblastoma, he is 1 year old.

Thank you.

My pastor while preaching one day referred to a man who employed several artist to paint a picture of perfect peace. I am sure they were all quite stunning, some painted Christ on the cross, others painted a beautiful valley with green foliage and a stream running through. The man looked at the picture and said that was not perfect peace. He then saw a painting of a tree standing beside a raging river. Overlooking the river was a tree limb with a bird’s nest on it. In the nest was a mother bird feeding her young ones, she had no regard for the raging river below. The man then said, this is perfect peace. My friend, this is the peace God wants us to have in Him. John chapter 14 verse 27 says, Peace I leave with you,my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.(KJV) We are in this world and there are going to be troubles. We know they exist but we need to keep in mind that yes they exist, but God has all in control. We don’t have to worry about what the future holds because we trust that God will be with us no matter what. He is a personal God. He’s not far away, watching us like a little game. He cares and He wants us to cast all our cares upon Him for He cares for us. Like the little mother bird hanging over the river, the trouble was there but it wasn’t in her. She had no worries. We will have troubles but don’t let them have you. Let God have your troubles and cares. Thank you.

Not Without You

Everyday we are faced with decisions. Most are not life changing, however sometimes we are faced with those decisions that will affect our lives in a major way. What to do, if I make this choice this could happen or if I make that choice this might happen, oh if I only knew what the future held. Like, should I accept this job position, they may close down in a year and then what. Well I have learned that we alone cannot make correct choice all of the time. Sometimes we make the best choice based on the information we are given. Praying and asking for God’s will sometimes leaves people thinking, what is God’s will. Well I have faced that very question before. I can tell you this, I believe if it is God’s will you will have peace about your decision. However we must be ready to accept that if it’s not God’s will, what our next step will be. Moses in Exodus chapter 33:15, told God respectfully, And he said unto Him, If thy presence go not with me, carry us not up.(KJV) Moses could have led the children of Israel on to the promise land but what good would it have been if God was not with them. Some people may have said well we’ll just go anyway, but not Moses. He knew that if God’s hand was not in it, he wanted no part of it. That is the way we need to be, choose to follow God no matter what. The other road may seem better, or you may think you can forge ahead without him, but don’t do it. Determine in your heart that if He is not in then neither are you. Follow Him. I have to remind myself of this all the time. Let us pray, Lord I’m not going with YOU.

Thank you, and again, leave any prayer request in the comment section, so we can pray together.

I have a prayer request, a baby, (we’ll call him baby J) is fighting Neuroblastoma, he needs our prayers for a healing. I will keep you posted on his journey and healing.

In Truth

This morning while praying I felt that I did not have the desire to pray. I was feeling kind of disconnected. I have actually been feeling this way for a couple of weeks now. I didn’t understand where the fire had gone. So when I opened my Bible,(instead of my daily reading to read the Bible through in one year) I opened it to Psalm 145. I was reading but not really paying attention. Just kinda going through the motion as if to say, I’m doing my part. Well when I got to verse 18 it was like the light switch was cut on. Verse 18 says, “The Lord is nigh unto ALL them that call upon Him, to all that call upon Him in TRUTH. Wow, I realized that I was reading my Bible and praying lately just to do it, I wasn’t seeking Him in TRUTH. Right then I bowed my head and asked for God’s forgiveness and admitted to myself that I have erred. He knows our hearts and why we do what we do. I was going through the motions and He called me out on it. I have been walking with the Lord for a while now, and He is always teaching me. I hope if anyone is feeling the same way that I was, that you’ll search your heart and be honest with God in your prayer. Remember, God loves you and He is never far from us, but it is us that is far from Him.

Please feel free to leave prayer request on my blog so we can believe in prayer together.

Hello world! A little about me!

I wanted to start a blog and I was trying to think what would be a good idea that can be useful to others. Then it dawned on me that I read the most useful book every morning, the Bible. So this blog is going to be the lessons that God has revealed to me. I am very excited to share these thoughts and I hope they will be helpful in your on journeys as well.

Also, please feel free to post prayer request, so we can all agree in prayer! Thank you!
